| Ray Geisel started the Christian 12 Step Ministry in 1990 in order to help men and women through their addictions using values of the AA program and the power of Jesus Christ. The best explanation of the basis of the program and the reasoning behind it is from the founder himself in his letter of introduction in the 2008 edition of "Walking the 12 Steps with Jesus Christ" study guide. | | |
| | Executive Director, Lonnie Earnest's love and passion for others is what has allowed God to use him to impact the lives of many. His time of incarceration is being used by God to assist others in overcoming the valleys that he faced due to the wrong choices he made. He now celebrates 20 years of sevice to God following his prison experience. Education & Experience: William Carey College, Hattiesburg, MS. (BA), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans, LA. (ThM). Lonnie has served as senior pastor of local churches and following his incarceration he owned several businesses that he sold planning to enjoy a semi-retirement. However he was challenged by a prison chaplain to consider becoming involved in ministry. In 2003 he joined the Christian 12 Step Ministry as community services director. In 2006 he was appointed by the board of directors of the ministry to serve as Executive Director upon the retirement of the Executive Director and Founder of the Ministry, Mr. Ray Geisel. Lonnie's education and business experience is a plus, but his love of others qualifies him to serve as the leader of the ministry. He often states that his time in prison was the education he needed to more effectively serve God by serving others. | | |
